Calling It 100

Inside My Head Podcast number 100 :D

Or is it? Listen to the show to find out what I mean.

This episode is twice the length of my usual episodes. Perhaps I need to start doing feedback type episodes more frequently.

Thank you, everyone, who has listened to the Inside My Head Podcast, left a comment, and/or mentioned me or IMH on your podcast(s). I really appreciate it! This is a feedback episode, so you can all listen in and hear the things some very nice people said about me and my little show.

Included in this episode is the promised “Second Half” of the comments from NaPodPoMo.

There is a Haiku of Frustration in this episode. It is called “Talents”. You won’t find this one anywhere else, because I wrote it right before the show, and didn’t type it anywhere online. It’s an Inside My Head Podcast exclusive!

Want more haiku? Check out Heckava Haiku , by Robert Gasperson. Wonderful haiku!

Songs featured in this episode:
* echolounge, with a song called “Distant”.
Find them on MySpace , Facebook.

* VTG , with a song called “You”. Their album Love is Letting Go at CD Baby.

* Electric Touch , with a song called “Call My Name”. Warning! Their website plays music as soon as you click on it. It’s great music, but, if you happen to be at work, you might not want it to suddenly be blasting from your speakers.

* Spidersleg , with a song called “Hold Me”. If you like this song, you can listen to a few more, and also hear some information about the band, in a previous Inside My Head episode. (Sometime in November, 2009).

Echolounge

Thank you to Colin, from the Ourobourous podcast for helping me put together this episode, and for playing echolounge on your podcast. If it wasn’t for you, I would never have heard of the band. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to produce this episode of Inside My Head today. Thank you, so much! :)

You can find echolounge on myspace.

Or, you can find echolounge on facebook.

I played their songs :
* The Same Routine
* Insipid
* I Thought You Had It All
* Somethings Go Unsaid

Bah Humbug!

Inside My Head Podcast number 96.

Pretty sure I said it was number 95, but it’s not. It’s 96. Numbers, they are the bane of my existence.

This episode is called “Bah Humbug!” because I am all Christmas-ed out! I’ve had the most relaxing holiday season I think I’ve ever had. It’s not like I’m having another bad Christmas, or anything like that. Maybe you have to be born a “Christmas Person” in order to sustain the joy from right after Thanksgiving until …. let’s see… about six days from now? I have had enough.

Which means that you get to listen to a bunch of awesome, very non-traditional Christmas music in this episode. All the songs heard in this episode came from Music Alley from Mevio.

Here are all the songs I played, in the order I played them:

* Ben Twisted , with a song called “Merry Fucked Up Christmas”

* Jonathan Coulton , with a song called “Chiron Beta Prime”

* Bubble , with a song called “Christmas Here On Mars”.

* Tom Smith , with a song called “A Pirate Christmas”

* onlyone , with a song called “You’re A Mean One”

* Echo Voodoo , with a song called “It’s All About The Toys”

* Three Not So Wise Men , with a song called “Feliz Navidad”

* The Hot Rods , with a song called “Santa’s Too Drunk To Drive”

* The Dwarves (with Plan Nine Rock Show), with a song called “Drinking Up Christmas”.

* American Heartbreak , with a song called “The Greatest Christmas Song Ever Written”

Hang in there, people, this Christmas season is almost over!

Merry Christmas

Inside My Head Podcast number 95

This is the first year in ….. um, quite possibly “ever”, that I find myself not completely hating Christmas, as well as the entire holiday season surrounding it. I believe that escaping from my job in retail hell has a lot to do with it. It’s strange, but also kind of nice!

Enjoy the lovely non-traditional Christmas music. It’s also not particularly religious sounding, other than the fact that the word “Christmas” does appear in most of these songs. These songs are so good that I, who generally hate Christmas music, really enjoy listening to them. You can’t get much better an endorsement for Christmas music from me than that!

Music by:
* A Band Called Quinn has two songs in this episode.

I start off the show with “It’s Christmas Time (2009)”, which has been remixed by Ian Carmichael from the band One Dove. This song can be found on their Sun Moon Stars album, available soon on amazon and itunes.
SunMoonStarsABandCalledQuinn

Later in this episode I play their song “Snowbus” from the Christmas album they released last year around this time.

* Gidgets Ga Ga with two songs. One is called “Spirit of the Season”, which appears at the end of the show. The other is called “Christmas Wish”, which is available on iTunes right now!

* Somewhere in the middle of the episode, I played a song by TVs Kyle , called “California Christmas”. So funny, and so true!

You also get to hear a “Happy Christmas” voice mail left by Bluelaugh, a good friend of mine. He used the Hyper Nonsense voice mail line, which still works. You can do it to at 805-725-5085 !

Enjoy the awesome Christmas music, and have a safe and happy holiday season.

Feedback

Inside My Head podcast number 94.

NaPodPoMo is over, and I am back to “regular” episodes now.
This episode is a feedback episode, where I mention all of the feedback I got during NaPodPoMo 2009, make comments, and say thank you.

You all have made me a happy podcaster this year, with all your comments. Thank you to everyone who commented, and everyone who listened but didn’t comment. :)

Included in this episode:
* a “mash-up” of comments about me and/or the Inside My Head show that came from fellow NaPodPoMo podcasters. I am still catching up in listening to those shows, and am currently only on about day sixteen or seventeen. This means there is potential for another mash-up of comments from other people’s podcasts in the future. We will all have to wait and see if there are more comments to add.

* Comments from this, the official Inside My Head podcast page, the Inside My Head Myspace page, and from emails, read off by me.

* A promo for the Angel Between the Lines. Episode three is coming soon!

* Gidgets Ga Ga, with a lovely non-traditional Christmas song called “The Gift”.
