Zoeie’s Vacation Photos

Inside My Head Vidcast number 9

As many of you know, I play World of Warcraft. I have three different characters now, and my biggest character is only on level 37. In other words, I play, I enjoy it, but I do have a life outside of WoW as well. So far, I have (mostly) resisted the great temptation to simply stay home from work for about a week or so, and just level, level, level! It has not be easy.

This coming weekend is “Labor Day”, which (for many reasons) has always signaled to me “the end of summer vacation”.

Irony: having to work in retail hell on the Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of a three day weekend, that purportedly exists to recognize those who have to work wage slave type jobs. Way to go, Corporate America!

So, I won’t be going anywhere fun this Labor Day weekend, and therefore, I won’t be taking any interesting vacation photos. The most I can hope for is a few hours to play World of Warcraft.

Which got me thinking…. what would vacation photos look like, from the vantage point of Zoeie, my Draenei Shaman character? I put together this video, just for fun.

If anyone else out there plays WoW, you can find me there. Zoeie is on Lightbringer. I have a human rogue named Grayn on Argent Dawn, and a Night Elf Hunter, (of course), named Thrisper, on Hydraxia. Come say hello sometime. Also, I have been considering making a horde character, but, I haven’t completely decided what race, or what server to do that on. Suggestions?

Loss

Inside My Head number 64

I have temporarily lost my mind. I have had two relatives die recently, and a third is not doing so good either. And somehow, I managed to put out a podcast. Listen at your own risk, parts are extremely depressing.

There is no Haiku of Frustration in this show.
There is a random, somewhat ADHD episode of “Messages for Vanya”.

And some other stuff.

Music in today’s show by:
Silverhawk , with a song called “Cry, Cry”
Here is the video for that song:

A Band Called Quinn, with a song called “The World is Upside Down”

Dashboard Confessional , with a song called “Bend and not Break”

Ants Go Marching

Inside My Head Vidcast number 8

If you’ve been listening to the Hyper Nonsense show, you may have already heard about our latest Ant Invasion.

I hate ants! Hate, hate, hate ‘em! Not at all pleased with the ants that climbed onto our roof, and proceeded to invade down into the house from various tactical points. They’d come in, and I’d go spray them with whatever was available (often Windex, sometimes RAID), and kill them off, and they’d back off for a moment, and then return. I started plugging up the holes they were coming in at (scotch tape and/or Elmer’s glue work amazingly well), only to have them come in from another little hole, somewhere else. Many battles were fought. I’d win one, only for the war between me and the ants to develop on a new front.

Finally, I’d had enough, and it was time to step up the chemical warfare aspect of this war a little more. I’d heard about a wonderful ant killer called “AntRid” (I think), from the wonderful guys at Erk Pod. They said it worked great, and I even watched a video on YouTube showing somebody using the stuff. This would have been the ideal solution, if only “AntRid” (I think it was called), was available in America. Seems to be an Austrailian brand, that I had no way to get a hold of.

Desperate to finally win this war against the ants, I selected the ant poison that looked the closest to what I figured “AntRid” to be. There was this stuff called “TERRO” that was also a liquid form of ant bait.

How did it work? Check out the results for yourself:

I still have some left over, waiting for the next battle for the Mobile Home to begin!

Friends

Inside My Head show number 63

I got to spend some time with friends recently, both in person, and through the internet. Wish I had more time to do that.

Today’s Haiku of Frustration is called: “Oh, Garageband”, and was inspired, on the fly, by the problems that the Garageband software I use to record my podcast was giving me as I tried to record this show. I wont today’s battle, but, I’m somehow certain the war isn’t over.

Music by:
Scott Goldstone, with a song called “Lovelight”
Amber Gougis , with a song called “I’m Comin’ Up”.
Ammp , with a song called “Ironman”.

Inside My Head Podcast number 62. Yes, I did say it was show number 61 on the podcast, but, I was wrong. This is exactly why Shawno is in charge of the checking account. I screw up numbers.

It’s “Marvelously Manic”!
