And now… here’s the show!

Since School Started

Inside My Head Podcast show number 92.
Yeah, I know I said it was show number 91 on the show. It’s not. This is not the first time I have screwed up the show number.

I’ve not done an IMH podcast at all since school started. This episode will tell you what has been keeping me away from recording, as well as some interesting things that have happened at my (former) job.

Yes, you read that right, I am now unemployed!
For play by play details about just how and when that happened, listen to Hyper Nonsense.

Music on this show by:
* Black Sabbath, with a song called “Ironman”
I didn’t play the whole song, but you can here it in this video:

* Cruisebox, with a song called “On a Podcast”. Anyone know what the link is to this band’s page? Let me know, and I will add it here.

* Kyle Dine, with a song called “Epi Man”.
This video shows an interview with Kyle Dine, telling about what he does, why he made songs for kids about allergies, and what inspired the song “Epi Man”. He sings “Epi Man”, live, on this video.

* Underwhelmed, with a song called “Freak Like Me”.

* The Priddle Concern, with a song called “I Had A Job”.

* Deathboy, with a song called “Smile, You Fuckers”.

No haiku of frustration on this show, because, honestly… where to begin?

Enjoy the show! I should be able to create new episodes more often now that I’m unemployed. I got tons of time!

Inside My Head podcast number eighty seven

I’m having a “stay-cation”. (Thanks, Listi!)

* Underwhelmed, with a song called “Angel”

* Heath Street, with a song called “Comin’ Days”, and a song called “Kangaroo Jake”

No

Inside My Head show number eighty one.

No. Just no.
Things are not going my way, and that includes my allergies.

Wondering how this year’s “Quest for a Shamrock Shake” went? Shawno and I recorded our yearly trek to McDonalds, and I included it in today’s show. You get to come along with us, and see if we did, in fact, manage to obtain the highly coveted Shamrock Shake.

Today’s haiku of frustration is called : “Pollen Count”.

This haiku is part of my contributions to the Envisage 365 blog. The blog started in September of 2007, and there were fifty women from all over the world involved. Each of us submitted one photo each day, and we will continue to do so until the year is over. We are more than halfway through now. If you like looking at photos, you may want to go over there and click around. All my photos have an exclusive haiku attached to them, that you won’t have read anywhere else.

Music in today’s show by:
* Trey Green, with a song called “My Fantastic Ass”. Couldn’t say no to the guy with the Fantastic Ass song! ;)

* Jonathan Coulton, with a song called, “Take Care Of Me”. I’m always impressed by the work of Jonathan Coulton.

Normally, I do not include videos of songs that are made by fans, but, I am fairly certain that Jonathan Coulton allows his fans to use his music for videos they create. I found this wonderful video for the song “Take Care of Me”, by Jonathan Coulton, that some brilliant person put together with scenes from the TV show “House”. Unfortunately, the creator of the video has disallowed embedding, so, you will just have to go here to check it out. It’s worth it, especially if you are a fan of House.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. “Have a great day, or not. The choice is up to you!” (This phrase is announced daily at the school I work in).

Mold Count

Day Twenty Eight for the NaPodPoMo Experience

Inside My Head Podcast number Two Point Twenty Eight

The mold count is incredibly high right now where I am at. I am dying from allergies, once again. Sucks to be me.

Today I decided to create a little song that is an auditory explanation of how the high mold count effects me.

Here is a translation:
Shaker sound = itchy eyes, itchy sinues
Synth sound = severe sinus pain
Drum beat = wheezing
church bell = my salvation, my antihistimine
Om tones at the end = symptoms gone, and my brain floats away.

Some of this is going to get pretty darn loud before it calms down again. Much like how my allergies get progressively worse before the drugs make me feel better again. If you don’t change your volume at all while you listen, I expect you might actually feel in your head something like what I feel Inside My Head when the mold count is this high. You can “feel my pain” right along with me.

Enjoy?

Day Twenty Three of the NaPodPoMo Experience

Inside My Head Podcast number Two Point Twenty Three

Allergies, they have found me. So, my voice sounds terrible in this show. Enjoy the… I’m gonna say “ambient noise” that I couldn’t be bothered to do anything about. Small rant about why my allergies are bad today, and who I blame it on.

Today’s Haiku of Frustration is called : “All book stores have them, right?”. Read this haiku, and many more, on Haikuoffrustration.com.

Music by:
Cat o’ Nine Tales , with a song called “Infinite Loop”.

Day fourteen of the NaPodPoMo Experience

Inside My Head show number Two Point Fourteen

Few things could be more stressful than the day I had.

*Big fire, right here in town:
Read all about it!
Take a look.
Watch it.

*Update on our two Cockatiels. Did we get to take them home from the vet? What next?

*Amazingly bad allergies! (Who could ask for anything more?)

Music in today’s show by:
Second Dan , with a song called “Running Out of Feelings”
Here is the video for that song:

And Music by:
Dios Malos , with a song called “Everyday”

Tomorrow I jump right back into five consecutive days of Retail Hell. *sigh*

Delirious

Inside My Head Podcast number 65.

Slightly delirious as I recorded this one. Wheezing for days and days due to a bad allergy season tends to do that to me. Being overworked at my job isn’t helping either. Those of you that especially enjoy me ranting about work, and making little sense, will probably like today’s episode of Inside My Head.

Today’s Haiku of Frustration is called : “Darwin Awards”.

Get 98 more haiku at a reasonable price. Haiku of Frustration: Wage Slave

Cameo appearance in today’s show by Vanya, the Hyper Nonsense intern bunny.

Want another peek inside my head? I am contributing to Envisage 365. It’s a blog where about 50 women are posting one photo each day for an entire year. The blog started September 1, 2008. Each photo is supposed to have something to do with how your day is going, or how you feel that day, or what you did. In other words, it’s a little bit of an online journal, sort of like the Inside My Head podcast. This blog was called “Pictures and Pie” until just recently, but the name has changed.

To find my contributions for Envisage 356, look for “Jen”. Somehow, I am the only Jen on the site! Don’t know how that happened. :) Enjoy the haiku photo captions, that I am writing exclusively for the Envisage site. You won’t find them anywhere else!

Music in today’s show by:

A Band Called Quinn , with a song called “All the Dead End Jobs”. Very pretty song from a band that was kind enough to send me a sympathy email in response to my playing their song on my previous show, where I talked about dead and dying family members. You, A Band Called Quinn, rock!

Paisley Riot, with a song called “Books That You Once Read”.
Here is a fun little video for that song:

Echo Screen , with a song called “The Letter Bomb”.
Here is a cool video for that song:

…and… if this all makes no sense, it’s cause I’m sick as hell, and hopefully seeing a doctor sometime before I record my next show.
Enjoy the delirium!
