Pepper Sings

Here’s a quick little video of one of my cockatiels, Pepper, singing. He starts to do a little dance that is unique to him. If you listen closely, you can hear him say “nastybird”, which is his nickname.

Morris the cockatiel is not exactly what one would call “normal”.

Gordo Takes A Bath

Inside My Head Podcast number 3.24

Gordo the cockatiel loves taking baths. As soon as we put out the big water dish, he always the first bird to jump in, every time. If the water stays out long enough, he has been known to take more than one bath a day. He has also tried to bathe in the little water dish that the birds are supposed to drink from, and once, he tried to bathe in Shawn’s big blue plastic water mug.

Gordo loves taking baths. I decided to capture Gordo doing one of his favorite activities on video. Once he got over being all suspicious of the camera, his focus was once again, on taking a bath. As you can see, he’s not too keen on sharing the “bathtub” with any of the other birds.

Better late than never!
I’ve had some major allergy problems in the past few weeks, and also had one of my little birdies pass away. This has kept me from podcasting, until today. You can hear in my voice that I am having problems breathing. Don’t worry… it’s only temporary.

There is no haiku of frustration in this episode. I simply didn’t write one.

Day Twenty Four for NaPodPoMo

Today you get an Inside My Head Podcast video.

For most of November, I have been talking about Little One, my sixteen year old cockatiel, who recently had surgery to have a huge tumor removed. Since then, I have needed to give her various medications every day, every twelve hours.

Day Twenty One of the NaPodPoMo Experience

Inside My Head Podcast number Two Point Twenty One

In today’s show, I read off many of the comments I have received lately, and respond to them. I also play the rest of the music that I have created since I started podcasting. Long time listeners to the Inside My Head show might remember these songs, but, I figure that at least some of them might be new to somebody listening out there. I explain a little bit about what inspired each of my songs.

If any other podcasters out there want to play one of my songs on one of your shows, let me know. I can send out the mp3, (or the individual stems)…. soon….
