Inside My Head podcast number 120

I decided to do the theme for this episode because I just had a birthday. If turning a year older doesn’t make you think about time, nothing will. All of the songs in today’s episode have titles that reference some time, in one way or another.

Music in this episode by:
* Alan Stewart , with a song called “Time Waits For No One”

* Diego – M , with a song called “Tonight”

* Kama Linden , with a song called “Better Late Than Never”

* Cecelia de Lisle , with a song called “The Other Side of Yesterday”

* Seb Green , with a song called “It’s Time”

* The Big I Am , with a song called “Better Days”

* Trey Green , with a song called “The Forever and Ever Song”

Also in this episode:
* My thoughts about “being old”
* A little bit about the show I went to last night, where I saw Loomis & The Lust play at Downtown Brew in SLO
* A final rant (hopefully) about Lulu
* There is a Haiku of Frustration in this episode! It’s called “How to lose a customer”.

Enjoy!

Anti Valentine’s Day 3

Inside My Head Podcast number 103

This is the annual Anti Valentine’s Day episode of Inside My Head. Expect to hear ranting, and an exclusive haiku of frustration.

If you would like to hear the previous two Anti Valentine’s Day episodes, here they are:

*Anti Valentine’s Day 2 from 2009

*Anti Valentine , the original, from 2008.

All the songs I selected for today’s episode are about bad, or dysfunctional, or doomed relationships. No happy little love songs in this episode!

Music by:
* Pearl , with a song called “Cruel”
* Whitestar , with a song called “Love Gets In The Way”.
* Al Lewis , with a song called “One Way Love Affair”
* The Chad Hollister Band , with a song called “My Best Friend’s Girlfriend”, (which is a cover of the song by The Cars)

* Loomis and The Lust , with a song called “Break On Love”. Listen to the show to find out more about this song!
Loomis and The Lust took a second from their break between sets to pose for a photo with me:
MeWithLoomis&TheLust

* Trey Green , with a song called “My Girlfriend”. This song is both an Anti Valentine’s Day song, and, an nice hint about what my next show will be about.

Where else has my voice been lately?
* Ourobouros number 127 “A French Flavour”
Colin played the bumper I made him for his “Weird Track of The Week” segment.

This zombie novel is coming in March, as a podiobook. What could be a better way to end an Anti Valentine’s Day episode, than with zombies? :) Somewhere in this podiocast, both Erk and Judy from Channel Erk have a part.

Inside My Head show number eighty one.

No. Just no.
Things are not going my way, and that includes my allergies.

Wondering how this year’s “Quest for a Shamrock Shake” went? Shawno and I recorded our yearly trek to McDonalds, and I included it in today’s show. You get to come along with us, and see if we did, in fact, manage to obtain the highly coveted Shamrock Shake.

Today’s haiku of frustration is called : “Pollen Count”.

This haiku is part of my contributions to the Envisage 365 blog. The blog started in September of 2007, and there were fifty women from all over the world involved. Each of us submitted one photo each day, and we will continue to do so until the year is over. We are more than halfway through now. If you like looking at photos, you may want to go over there and click around. All my photos have an exclusive haiku attached to them, that you won’t have read anywhere else.

Music in today’s show by:
* Trey Green, with a song called “My Fantastic Ass”. Couldn’t say no to the guy with the Fantastic Ass song! ;)

* Jonathan Coulton, with a song called, “Take Care Of Me”. I’m always impressed by the work of Jonathan Coulton.

Normally, I do not include videos of songs that are made by fans, but, I am fairly certain that Jonathan Coulton allows his fans to use his music for videos they create. I found this wonderful video for the song “Take Care of Me”, by Jonathan Coulton, that some brilliant person put together with scenes from the TV show “House”. Unfortunately, the creator of the video has disallowed embedding, so, you will just have to go here to check it out. It’s worth it, especially if you are a fan of House.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. “Have a great day, or not. The choice is up to you!” (This phrase is announced daily at the school I work in).
